CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed the confirmation of 70 senior officers led by Brigadier General Francis P Carandang PA, Brigade Commander of the 201st Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Philippine Army.
The confirmation was made by the Commission on Appointments on March 11, 2026 at the Senate of the Philippines in Pasay City. It covered senior officers from the major services and technical and administrative services of the AFP. Of the total number, 44 are Colonels from the Philippine Army, nine (9) Captains from the Philippine Navy, two (2) Colonels from the Philippine Marine Corps, and seven (7) Colonels from the Philippine Air Force.
Also confirmed were two (2) Colonels from the Dental Service, one (1) Colonel from the Judge Advocate General Service, one (1) Colonel from the Medical Administrative Corps, two (2) Colonels from the Medical Corps, and one (1) Colonel from the Nurse Corps.
The AFP recognizes this confirmation as an important milestone in the professional advancement of its senior leaders and as a testament to their competence, dedication, and faithful service to the organization and the Filipino people.
These confirmations further strengthen the leadership structure of the AFP and ensure the continuity of command, administration, and operational readiness across the major services and support units.
