The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) utilized its personnel and aircraft assets in distributing relief goods to the seven (7) isolated municipalities of Abra (Boliney, Bucloc, Daguioman, Luba, Tubo, Malibcong, and Lacub) due to the 7.3 magnitude earthquake last July 27.
The Philippine Air Force, through its Tactical Operations Group 1 and 2 (TOG1 & TOG2), deployed its air assets such as S70i Blackhawks, PZL W-3A SOKOL, Super Huey, Huey 2, and UH-1H helicopters to transport the relief goods. Meanwhile, the Philippine Army's 24th Infantry Battalion, 503rd Infantry Brigade, and personnel from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) unload the DSWD relief goods in Abra today, July 29.///(Photos from NOLCOM and 5ID, PA)
