U.S. Marines, Philippine Air Force conduct HADR training in Palawan

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The U.S. Marines and the Philippine Air Force's Tactical Operations Wing West (TOW-WEST) joined forces for a Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response (HADR) Subject Matter Expert Exchange (SMEE) in Antonio Bautista Air Base, Puerto Princesa City on May 3, 2024.
The HADR training included Tactical Recovery of Aircraft and Personnel (TRAP) Exercise and Disable Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) Exercise. The 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit and Joint Task Force Integrated Crisis Action and Response to Emergencies or JTF I-CARE also exchanged knowledge on their capabilities and limitations.

This collaborative event was part of the ongoing Balikatan Exercise 39-2024. The exercise also underscores the strong partnership between the two countries, fostering greater cooperation and readiness for future disaster response efforts.///
