CHANGE OF COMMAND | AFP Chief of Staff LtGen Bartolome Vicente Bacarro presided over the Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony for LtGen Robert Dauz, the Commander of Visayas Command who bowed out of the military on Monday, November 14.
LtGen Dauz served in the Armed Forces of the Philippines for over 38 years of outstanding military career. A member of the Philippine Military Academy “Maringal” Class of 1988, he rose through the ranks from being a Platoon Leader and Company Commander in the 1st Light Armor Battalion. He was also designated in key staff and command positions including as Vice Commander of the Philippine Army and commander of the Armor Division.
LtGen Dauz relinquished his post as Commander of Visayas Command to MGen Benedict Arevalo, the current commander of the 3rd Infantry Division, who will now oversee joint military operations in the Visayas in an acting capacity. (Photos by A2C Castro/PAO, AFP)
