AFP Leadership Reinforced in Oath-Taking as Commander-in-Chief Emphasizes Honor and Courage
CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- Forty newly promoted Generals and Flag Officers, along with two (2) graduates of Foreign Pre-Commissioned Training Institutions, took their oath of office before the Commander-in-Chief, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on December 18 at the Malacañang Palace, marking a significant milestone in the leadership of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).

AFP intensifies search for missing labor activists

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The AFP, in compliance with the writ of amparo granted for Alipio Juat and Elizabeth Magbanua, intensified its search for the two missing labor activists.

Colonel Danilo Dupiag, Deputy Provost Marshal General of the AFP, met with District Director PBGen Andre Dizon and Intelligence Director PCol Samuel Pabonito both of the Manila Police District on November 15 to request information on the activities of the missing persons before their reported disappearance on May 3.

AFP installs new Commander of Civil Relations Service

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The AFP installed BGen Arvin R Lagamon PA as the new Commander of the Civil Relations Service, AFP (CRSAFP) replacing the Acting Commander, Col Medel M Aguilar, in a ceremony held on Wednesday, October 26 in Camp Aguinaldo.

The CRSAFP is the primary unit of the AFP that engages the general public through information support activities and community relation programs. The unit also conducts stakeholder engagement with other government agencies and non-government organizations in providing public service to needy communities.

BGen Licudine PA assumes as new AFPETDC Commander

CHANGE OF COMMAND | Major General Charlton Sean M Gaerlan PN(M) relinquished his post as the Commander of the Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training, and Doctrine Command to Brigadier General Marvin L Licudine PA in a Change of Command Ceremony held Thursday, October 20.

Earlier in August, MGen Gaerlan was appointed as the Commandant of the Philippine Marine Corps. On the other hand, BGen Licudine comes in from his stint as Chief of the AFP Peace and Development Office. Prior to this, he served as the Chief of the Office of the Army Adjutant. He is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Makatao Class of 1989 and holds a Master in Business Administration and Masters in Management.

AFP Medical Service celebrates 124th Founding Anniversary

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Medical Service celebrated its 124 years of exceptional service in a ceremony held at the AFP Commissioned Officers Country in Camp Aguinaldo on Thursday, June 23.

The anniversary marked the developments in modernizing AFP medical facilities and equipment and increasing the competence of medical professionals committed to delivering health services to AFP personnel and their dependents.

AFP-PNP-PCG Little Olympics 2022 closes

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Athletes from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) participated in the closing ceremony of this year’s Little Olympics on Friday, June 3 at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand in Camp Aguinaldo.
 
The first face-to-face AFP-PNP-PCG Little Olympics since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic was launched on May 24 to promote physical fitness and wellness among dependents of uniformed service members.
