CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Thirty-one newly promoted generals and flag officers led by the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, General Romeo Brawner Jr, took their oath of office before the President and Commander in Chief, His Excellency Ferdinand Marcos Jr, on October 27 in Malacañan Palace.

The oath-taking signifies the officers’ commitment to the performance of their duties and responsibilities as public servants and leaders who will steer the AFP in the accomplishment of its mandate of protecting the people and securing the state.

In his message to the officers, President Marcos Jr emphasized the need for them to perform their duties "with strength of character and utmost integrity, loyalty, and professionalism" amid developments in the security landscape.
