CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) formally inaugurated the BAHAYANI Child Development Center (CDC) on June 9, reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the foundation of the AFP community for the future.
The ceremony was graced by First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos, together with AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. and AFP Officers’ Ladies Club, Inc. (AFPOLCI) Chairperson Mrs. Melody Mariele Brawner. Also in attendance were AFP personnel, civilian human resources, and their dependents and family members, highlighting a shared commitment to family welfare and child development within the AFP community.
In his remarks, General Brawner commended the AFPOLCI for its key role in bringing the project to life. Recognized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the Quezon City Social Services Development Department (SSDD) and the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Council, the center reflects a collaborative effort to strengthen family support systems and invest in the future of the AFP community.
Through the BAHAYANI CDC, the AFP will provide holistic early childhood care and education in a safe and inclusive environment for eligible dependents of AFP personnel and civilian human resources.
