CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City —
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Cignal formally strengthened their partnership through a ceremonial signing held on June 8, here. The ceremony was led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. and Cignal Chief Executive Officer Mr. Victorico V. Vargas.
The partnership formalizes Cignal as the AFP’s first media auxiliary company, supporting efforts to amplify stories of military service and sacrifice.The ceremony was followed by a special screening of Patriots, a documentary series that brings to life the courage, patriotism, and lived experiences of soldiers, drawing the Filipino public closer to the realities of military service.
The event also conferred the Gawad sa Kapayapaan Award on 2nd Lieutenant Mateo Guidicelli PA (RES) in recognition of his contributions to promoting patriotism, strengthening national unity, and raising public awareness of the AFP’s service and sacrifices. His work has helped deepen appreciation for the men and women who defend the nation and reinforced national pride.
The partnership reflects the AFP’s continuing commitment to innovative collaborations that strengthen public engagement and bring the stories of Filipino service members closer to the people they serve.
