As the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) intensifies its transition to territorial defense, it reaffirmed its robust internal security posture during the 49th Founding Anniversary celebration of the 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army, held today, April 14, at Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal.
The event was presided over by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. He was assisted by LtGen Roy M Galido, Commanding General, Philippine Army; LtGen Facundo O Palafox IV, Commander of Southern Luzon Command; and MGen Cerilo C Balaoro Jr, Commander of 2ID.
In his remarks, General Brawner commended the 2ID for its unwavering commitment to safeguarding peace and order, “The challenges we face may evolve as we transition to territorial defense, but I have every confidence that the 2ID will continue to lead with resolve, bravery, and innovation,” said General Brawner. “You are the vanguards of freedom and the defenders of our sovereignty.”
