CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the United States Indo-Pacific Command, conducted a Blood Donation Program on May 8 at the Victoriano Luna General Hospital, Medical Center AFP, under the theme, “Forging a Lifeline: Strengthening Military Medicine Interoperability through the Blood Program.”
The activity was led by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. and Commander of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Admiral Samuel J Paparo Jr. led the blood donation activity shoulder-to-shoulder, symbolizing the enduring partnership and shared commitment of both nations to humanitarian service and military medical cooperation.
The initiative underscored the continued efforts of the two allied forces to strengthen interoperability in military medicine and humanitarian assistance through joint health engagements. The event was also attended by AFP Medical Center Commander Brigadier General Erickson L Gob; V. Luna General Hospital Chief Colonel Jose Rosel R Reduble; USINDOPACOM Command Surgeon Captain Peter F Roberts; and Mrs. Melody Mariele V. Brawner.
The joint blood donation activity highlighted the strong alliance between the Philippines and the United States in promoting readiness, resilience, and lifesaving initiatives in support of both military personnel and the broader community.
