The Armed Forces of the Philippines, through the Philippine Army Reserve Command (RESCOM), and the University of the Philippines Diliman held a “Freedom March” on Araw ng Kagitingan, bringing together over a thousand ROTC cadets, reservists, veterans, and faculty in a patriotic display of unity.
This collaboration reflects the AFP’s commitment to shaping a new generation of disciplined, service-oriented youth.
Major General Ramon Zagala, Commander of RESCOM, PA, emphasized the enduring significance of Araw ng Kagitingan as a reminder of past sacrifices and a challenge to present-day preparedness.
“Araw ng Kagitingan is not just a holiday—it’s a reminder. A call. A challenge. To remember those who came before us and to be ready to follow in their footsteps, in our own ways, in our own time.” MGen Zagala said.
