The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), joined President Ferdinand R Marcos Jr., in honoring fallen soldiers during the Paggunita sa mga Bayani sa Araw ng Kagitingan ceremony held on April 9 here, affirming the nation’s commitment to honor the ultimate sacrifice by ensuring swift and comprehensive support for the families of the heroes the nation lost.
President Marcos accompanied by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr., led the ceremony, highlighting not only on tribute, but on tangible action — the expedited delivery of the Comprehensive Social Benefits Program (CSBP) to the families of those Killed-in-Action (KIA).
In his address, President Marcos affirmed the government’s renewed push to fast-track benefits for bereaved families, highlighting that this commitment is not just a matter of policy but of national duty.
The ceremony underscored the enduring sacrifices made by our fallen heroes and the government’s continued commitment to ensuring their families receive the benefits and support they deserve.
