AFP Bolsters Command Structure with Confirmation of 84 Senior Officers

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- Reinforcing leadership continuity and institutional confidence, the Commission on Appointments confirmed the ad interim appointments of 84 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on June 10 in Pasay City.
The appointments reflect a strategic effort to sustain high-level military leadership across the major service branches, aligning with the AFP’s long-term goals of enhancing operational capability and professional excellence.

Of the confirmed officers, 35 were from the Philippine Army, all promoted to the rank of Colonel. The Philippine Navy accounted for 20 officers promoted to the rank of Captain, while the Philippine Marine Corps had 6 officers promoted to the rank of Colonel. The Philippine Air Force saw the confirmation of 10 Colonels. Additionally, 13 senior officers from the AFP’s specialized branches—including the Medical Corps, Nurse Corps, Veterinary Corps, Medical Administrative Corps, Judge Advocate General's Service, and Chaplain Service—were also confirmed.

These promotions highlight the AFP’s ongoing commitment to cultivating a robust, mission-ready command structure and recognize the proven dedication and service of its senior leaders in advancing national defense objectives.
