AFP Bolsters Partnership with Thailand in Joint Exit and Introductory Visit of Naval Attachés

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines welcomed the outgoing and incoming Thailand Naval Attachés, CAPT Pakpoom Muensri RTN and CAPT Warintorn Kumhong, in a courtesy visit on October 4, 2024, here. The call was presided over by The AFP Inspector General, MGen Augustine S Malinit PAF, on behalf of AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr.
During the meeting, MGen Malinit awarded the AFP Chief of Staff Commendation Medal to CAPT Pakpoom Muensri RTN, the outgoing Naval Attaché of Thailand in recognition of his service. He also expressed optimism to CAPT Warintorn Kumhong to continue to deepen the maritime defense collaboration between the Philippines and Thailand.

The call underscores the AFP’s commitment to working closely with ASEAN nations such as Thailand to address shared challenges and enhance maritime security in the Indo-Pacific region.
