CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) commissioned 102 newly procured service vehicles during a turnover and blessing ceremony held today, here. AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. led the event as Guest of Honor and Speaker, assisted by Major General Rey B Alemania, Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, J4.
In his remarks, General Brawner underscored the importance of modern transportation in supporting the AFP’s daily operational and administrative functions, “In today’s rapidly evolving defense landscape, our commitment to operational excellence and modernization continues to grow.” “The acquisition of these vehicles underscores the AFP’s drive toward becoming a more mission-ready, robust, and capable force,” General Brawner added.
The newly commissioned vehicles, acquired through a congressional initiative under the General Appropriations Act (GAA), are intended for transporting troops, civilian personnel, and equipment, as well as for providing administrative and logistical support. They will be distributed to various AFP units nationwide to improve mobility and strengthen mission readiness.
This procurement is part of the AFP’s broader logistics enhancement, aligned with its modernization goals to improve operational efficiency, personnel support, and institutional resilience.
