CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – General Romeo S. Brawner Jr., the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), lauded the graduates of the Basic Citizen Military Course Class 08-24 01 and 09-24 during the closing ceremony held at the Baguio Country Club on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
The ceremony marked the successful completion of the training program for the new graduates, who demonstrated dedication and commitment throughout the course. General Brawner commended the graduates and emphasized the importance of their role in strengthening the nation's defense.
“Your dedication and commitment to serving in the citizen reserve force play a crucial role in safeguarding our nation’s security. In the face of ongoing challenges, strengthening our reserve force is essential in enhancing our territorial defense,” General Brawner said.
The new graduates will be joining the Philippine Navy's reserve force based in Northern Luzon. The Basic Citizen Military Course is designed to equip participants with essential military skills and knowledge that foster a spirit of nationalism and readiness to serve the nation in times of need.///
