CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—General Romeo Brawner Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), welcomed and awarded the 28 military personnel who were stationed at BRP Sierra Madre today, July 29 at Naval Detachment Oyster Bay Pier in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.
These brave personnel recently completed their deployment at Ayungin Shoal that ended in the Rotation and Resupply (RoRe) mission on July 27 and have now returned to solid ground.
General Brawner Jr. commended the troops for their dedication and commitment to protecting the nation’s sovereignty and maritime interests in the West Philippine Sea. "The AFP extends its heartfelt gratitude to these valiant men and women for their unwavering service and sacrifices. Their dedication ensures the integrity of our territory, sovereignty, and sovereign rights, reflecting the true spirit of patriotism," he stated.
The CSAFP also expressed his appreciation to the families of the returning personnel for their patience, support, and understanding during their deployment. "The strength and resilience of these families are crucial to the morale and effectiveness of our troops," he added.
This homecoming underscores the vital role of the AFP in safeguarding the nation's interests and the enduring support of the families behind these dedicated servicemen and women.
