CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through its Peace and Development Office (PDO), joins the National Peace Consciousness Month celebration by launching a series of Peace Symposium Caravan with the theme, “Winning Peace and Stability: Empowering Minds, Enabling Transformation” last September 10 at the Air Education Training and Doctrine Command in Lipa City, Batangas.
"The AFP's role is crucial in promoting peace and stability, particularly during the transition from internal security operations to territorial defense. I call on all AFP personnel to continue doing our part as catalysts for peace," said Navy Captain Norsal D Dimaporo, Chief of AFPPDO.
The second leg of the Peace Symposium Caravan was held on September 12 at the Philippine Army's Training and Doctrine Command in Capas, Tarlac, while the third leg took place on September 17 at the Naval Education, Training, and Doctrine Command in San Antonio, Zambales. The final installment is scheduled for September 23 at the Philippine Military Academy in Baguio City.
Through these initiatives, the AFP reaffirms its commitment to deepening awareness of the peace process and promoting collective efforts to build a stable and secure environment for all.
