CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) rendered a testimonial parade and review in honor of retiring AFP Deputy Chief of Staff LtGen Charlton Sean M Gaerlan PN(M) on September 21, 2024, at the Philippine Military Academy, Baguio City.
LtGen Gaerlan, a distinguished member of PMA "Makatao" Class of 1989, was recognized for his outstanding military career and invaluable contributions to the AFP. Alongside him, Major General Camilo Z Ligayo PA, Commander of the 8th Infantry Division, and Brigadier General Norwyn Romeo P Tolentino PA, Deputy Commander of Southern Luzon Command, were also honored during the ceremony.
The event was presided over by PMA Superintendent Rear Admiral Caesar Bernard N. Valencia, who praised the honorees for their unwavering dedication, integrity, and excellence in service. He also highlighted their vital role in strengthening national security and upholding the values of the AFP.
The ceremony serves as a tribute to their exceptional military service, ensuring that their legacy and contributions to the AFP and the nation are recognized and celebrated.
