CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System (AFPGFPS) Executive Committee (EXECOM) held its first meeting in 2024 on January 11 at the AFP General Headquarters here.
Presided by the AFP Vice Chief of Staff, LtGen Arthur Cordura, the EXECOM deliberated on the rundown of activities for 2024 and reviewed the proposed GAD policies and programs that are aimed at addressing gender issues and concerns of military and civilian personnel of the AFP.
The AFPGFPS serves as a catalyst for gender mainstreaming in the military organization. It is a system put in place to guarantee strategic planning, budgeting, execution, monitoring and evaluation of the AFP's GAD programs, activities and projects.
