CAMP AGUINALDO, City -- In a move to elevate the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ media engagement and public affairs capabilities, the Public Affairs Office (PAOAFP), led by Colonel Xerxes A Trinidad, Chief of PAOAFP, delivered a dynamic and strategic lecture on Public Affairs Protocols and Media Relations to the Squadron Officer Course (SOC) Class 2025-B on October 15, at the Philippine Air Force Officer School, Fernando Airbase, Lipa City.
The session brought together 60 Regular Philippine Air Force Officers, all holding the rank of Captain, alongside two International Military Students from the Indonesian Air Force and Vietnam People’s Air Force, two Reservists, and two Bridging Program officers. Participants received critical insights on effective media handling and strategic information dissemination.
The course highlighted the vital role of strategic communication as a force multiplier, equipping officers with the skills to uphold transparency, safeguard operational security, and strengthen the AFP’s trusted relationship with the Filipino people. Participants engaged in hands-on activities, including writing official statements and conducting media presentations, to sharpen their practical skills in real-world public affairs scenarios.
This initiative embodies the AFP’s unwavering commitment to fostering not only operations excellence but also mastery in public affairs, reinforcing the belief that a strong- well-informed military is the cornerstone of a resilient nation.
