CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Thirty-six newly promoted generals and flag officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) took their oath before President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on December 4 at the Malacañan Palace, reiterating their sworn allegiance to the Constitution.

In his address, President Marcos reminded the officers of the profound responsibility symbolized by the stars on their shoulders. He called on them to lead with honor, integrity, and a deep commitment to public service, urging them to stand by their troops, uphold the Constitution, and serve the Filipino people with unwavering dedication.

“Every decision we make now, every action that we take, will help shape the course of our Republic. As our senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, I enjoin you to lead with honor, serve with integrity, and inspire others with your example,” the President said.

The President also emphasized the importance of empowering soldiers to serve communities with both skill and empathy, ensuring that the AFP embodies the highest ideals of professionalism. He assured the officers of his administration’s steadfast support in strengthening the AFP and building a Bagong Pilipinas, a stronger and more equitable nation for all Filipinos.

Upon their return to Camp Aguinaldo, the officers were accorded military honors, reflecting the AFP’s recognition of their commitment and their pivotal role in shaping the organization’s future.
