AFP Holds Change of Command Ceremony, Welcomes new AFPCES Commander

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed Lt. Colonel Vanessa Angela Samudio as the Acting Commander of the AFP Commissary and Exchange Service (AFPCES) during a Change of Command Ceremony held today, here.
The ceremony was presided over by AFP Vice Chief of Staff, LtGen Jimmy D Larida, who commended the leadership and service of outgoing commander Captain Ferdinand Gloria, and expressed confidence in Lt. Colonel Samudio’s capacity to lead AFPCES in its continued mission to support AFP personnel and their families.
 
Prior to her new appointment, Lt. Colonel Vanessa Angela Samudio served as Deputy Commander of AFPCES. She is a graduate of the Officer Candidate School, TRADOC, Philippine Army. Lt. Colonel Samudio now takes over from Captain Gloria, a member of the Philippine Military Academy “Marilag” Class of 1995, and who also holds a Master in Public Management major in Development and Security, from the Development Academy of the Philippines.
 
The AFP continues to underscore its core values of integrity, professionalism, and service to the nation. Under Lt. Colonel Samudio’s leadership, AFPCES is expected to maintain its high standards in providing quality support services to the AFP community.
