CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) conducted the formal Change of Chief of Office Ceremony for the Office of The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP (TDCSAFP) presided over by the AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo S Brawner Jr on March 7, at the AFP Commissioned Officers Country, here.
During the ceremony, Lieutenant General Jimmy D Larida PN(M) officially relinquished his post as TDCSAFP. He will continue to play a vital role in the overall leadership and strategic direction of the Armed Forces as the Vice Chief of Staff, AFP.
LtGen Larida was succeeded by Major General Rommel P Roldan PAF, who previously served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel.
The ceremony reflects the AFP’s commitment to a seamless and professional transition of leadership, ensuring continuity in the delivery of service and the pursuit of the AFP’s mission to secure the nation and its people.
The incoming TCDCSAFP was also promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General, with his new rank donned by General Brawner. This formal act signified LtGen Roldan’s preparedness to take on greater responsibilities and commitment in advancing the AFP’s mission and strategic goals.
“Congratulations to the both of you. I expect nothing less than excellent work. You can be assured that you will be supported by our staff and by your respective offices,” General Brawner said as he closed the ceremony.///
