CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) honored Lieutenant General Fernyl G. Buca PAF, during the Change of Command and Retirement Ceremony for the Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) held on October 10 in Camp Aquino, Tarlac City.
General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. PA, the AFP Chief of Staff presided over the ceremonies. He presented Lt. Gen. Buca with the Philippine Legion of Honor, Degree of Commander, for his exemplary leadership and dedicated service. Meanwhile, Brigadier General Cesar A. Molina PA, was designated as Acting Commander of NOLCOM.
Under Lt. Gen. Buca’s leadership, NOLCOM pursued its operational mantra of being “Jointly Engaged, Sustainment-Maintained, and Readiness-Trained,” strengthening interoperability and multi-agency collaboration to effectively address threats across all domains.
“As the first Air Force general to command NOLCOM, you broke tradition and elevated the command with the perspective of a combat pilot and the joint mindset of an aviator. You led with humility, conviction, and unwavering determination, proving that leadership transcends service branch,” Gen. Brawner said in his message to the outgoing commander.///
