CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) convened the 27th Multi-Sector Governance Council (MSGC) meeting on November 26, 2024, at the AFP General Headquarters, here. The meeting, presided over by Atty. Alexander Cabrera, representing Mr. Francisco Del Rosario, Jr. as the AFP MSGC Chairperson and AFP Vice Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Arthur Cordura, focused on the progress of the AFP’s transformation initiatives and governance reforms.
The MSGC is a vital advisory body composed of leaders and experts from various sectors who provide guidance and insights to ensure the AFP achieves its vision of becoming a world-class armed force. During the meeting, updates on the implementation of the AFP Transformation Roadmap (AFPTR) were presented, highlighting milestones achieved and areas for further improvement.
LtGen Cordura emphasized the importance of collaboration between the AFP and its external stakeholders in sustaining reforms and strengthening institutional capabilities. “The MSGC remains a cornerstone of our commitment to transparency, accountability, and excellence. With your support, the AFP continues to uphold its mission of protecting the nation while transforming into a modern and professional military organization,” he said.
