AFP Hosts Joint Exit and Introductory Call for Japanese Defense Attachés

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff, General Romeo S Brawner Jr, warmly welcomed the incoming Defense Attaché of Japan to the Philippines, Colonel Naoki Aizawa, in a Joint Exit and Introductory Call held today, March 12 at Balangiga Hall, here. 

This event also served as the formal farewell for Colonel Kazuaki Akiba, who has completed his tenure as Japan’s Defense Attaché.

Colonel Akiba concluded his successful tour of duty in the Philippines, during which he significantly contributed to strengthening the defense cooperation between the two nations.

Meanwhile as Colonel Aizawa assumes his new post, General Brawner reaffirmed the AFP’s commitment to continuing and further enhancing the partnership between the Philippines and Japan in the field of defense and security.

The Joint Exit and Introductory Call reaffirmed the enduring ties between the two defense institutions and their shared vision for a secure and stable future.///
