AFP Welcomes New Chief of Gender and Development Office

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held an Assumption of Chief of Office Ceremony for the AFP Gender and Development Office (GADO) on March 11, 2025, at the CEISSAFP Building, here. 

The ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant General Rommel P Roldan PAF, The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP.

Captain Venus G Gualdaquever PN(GSC) formally assumed her post as the new Chief of the AFP GAD Office (P), succeeding Lieutenant Colonel Rachel F Facunla (FS) PA, who served as the Acting Chief of the office.

Captain Gualdaquever’s distinguished military career spans various leadership roles, including her recent position as Deputy Commander of the Civil Military Operations Group - Philippine Navy. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the most senior female officer in the Philippine Navy. 

The AFP GAD Office plays a crucial role in integrating gender-responsive policies, ensuring the welfare of both male and female personnel, and advancing programs that uphold gender equality across the organization.///
