CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City, Philippines – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed a 25-member delegation from the Pakistan Navy War College to Camp Aguinaldo on February 24 as part of their Foreign Study Tour (FST).
Leading the delegation was Commodore Ahsen Ali Khan, Assistant Chief of the Naval Staff for Maritime Affairs & Policy Research at Pakistan’s Naval Headquarters, accompanied by Commodore Iqbal Khan Niazi, the Defence Advisor of Pakistan. As part of their visit, they met with key AFP officials, including Major General Llewillyn S Banaag PAF, The Deputy Chief of Staff for Education, Training, and Doctrine, J8, during a courtesy call.
The delegation also engaged with the AFP Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC), where they were received by Commodore Richard N. Gonzaga PN, Deputy Commander of AFPETDC. Discussions focused on the AFP’s military education framework, training programs, and strategic initiatives, providing valuable insights into the organization’s approach to developing military leaders.
This Foreign Study Tour reflects the AFP’s commitment to enhancing international defense cooperation and fostering strategic dialogue. It underscores the AFP’s vital role in strengthening defense diplomacy and advancing security through meaningful engagements with partner nations.
