AFP Hosts the PUSSL 2025 Grand Kick-Off

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) hosted the grand opening ceremony of the Philippine Uniformed Services Sports League (PUSSL) 2025 on September 16, 2025, at the Lapu-Lapu Grandstand, here.
Honorable Matthew P. Gaston, Commissioner of the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), officially declared the league open, representing the Honorable John Patrick C. Gregorio, Chairman of the PSC. Representing AFP Chief of Staff, General Romeo S Brawner Jr, was Commodore Zosimo M. Bolaños Jr., Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, J1.

The participating organizations include the Major Services of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Corrections (BuCor), Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), Bureau of Customs (BOC), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Bureau of Immigration (BI).

The PUSSL 2025 will feature 25 sporting events, catering to a wide range of athletic talents. Competitions will be held in basketball, football, volleyball, swimming, cycling, martial arts, shooting, cheer dance, dragon boat, and e-sports.

The league aims to be a regular event that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and unity among the Philippines' uniformed and public service sectors.///
