CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) celebrated the 86th founding anniversary of the Nurse Corps and the 59th year of the Military Nurse Association of the Philippines (MNAP) in a joint ceremony on September 5, 2024, here. The event was graced by MGen Joel Alejandro S Nacnac, Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, J9, as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
In his address, MGen Nacnac lauded the dedication and professionalism of the military nurses in supporting the AFP’s operational readiness particularly of humanitarian assistance and disaster response missions. He also recognized the exemplary service of the retired military nurses in upholding the military healthcare system through the years.
The celebration underscored the AFP’s commitment in enhancing the military healthcare services and advocate for the professional development of the military nurses in able to meet the evolving challenges of public welfare.
