CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), through the AFP Pension and Gratuity Management Center (AFPPGMC), successfully held the 1st VeteRun on September 20 in Camp Aguinaldo.
The commemorative fun run paid tribute to the bravery, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of AFP veterans and pensioners. Open to both civilians and military personnel, the event highlighted health and wellness, intergenerational solidarity, and public appreciation for the country’s defenders.
Present during the activity were Commodore Zosimo M. Bolaños Jr. PN, Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, J1, and Commodore Luidegar C. Casis PN, Chief of the AFPPGMC, who led the awarding of winners and recognition of participating veterans.
Proceeds of the VeteRun will support the HEROES Program, further extending assistance to AFP pensioners and their families. The AFP affirms its commitment to honor veterans and ensure their welfare as part of its enduring mandate to serve those who served the nation.///
