CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Deputy Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines, LtGen Charlton Sean Gaerlan PN(M), met with the Director for Security and Defence Policy of the German Federal Ministry of Defence, BGen Jürgen Schrödl during a Courtesy Call on January 24 at the General Headquarters.
BGen Schrödl is currently in the country for the 2nd Philippines-Germany Staff Talks and took the opportunity to engage in discussions with the AFP concerning the defense cooperation between the Philippines and Germany.
During the visit, the military leaders also reaffirmed their commitment to supporting, revitalizing, and maintaining a stable relationship between both countries.
“Hopefully, in your stay here, we can have more engagements and develop an understanding of the needs of the Armed Forces. Thank you very much for your visit,” said LtGen Gaerlan as he expressed his gratitude to BGen Schrödl.///
