AFP, PNP, PCG Open “Pagsasanay SANLAKAS” Interagency Exercise

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), formally opened the Joint AFP, PNP, and PCG Education, Training, and Doctrine Cell (JAPPETDC) Interagency Exercise (IAX) dubbed “Pagsasanay SANLAKAS” in a ceremony held today, here. The exercise marks a landmark effort to strengthen unified security operations.
The opening ceremony was led by MGen Llewillyn S Banaag, AFP Deputy Chief of Staff for Education and Training, J8, alongside PBGen Bowenn Joey M Masauding, Acting Director of the PNP Directorate for Human Resource and Doctrine Development, and Captain Noemie G Cayabyab, Deputy Chief of Coast Guard for Education and Training, CG-12.

MGen Banaag highlighted the significance of the initiative, emphasizing that today’s defense environment demands seamless cooperation across agencies. “This Interagency Exercise is a product of our collective commitment to defense as a dynamic, multi-domain, and interagency endeavor. Today’s defense is defined by a robust system of interoperability, seamless command and control, and shared situational awareness across agencies,” he said.

Under the framework of the Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center (JPSCC), IAX Pagsasanay SANLAKAS aims to establish a common operational framework that will guide future interagency training efforts across the nation’s security sectors.
