AFP receives 'excellent' satisfaction rating in the latest SWS Survey

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) received a high public satisfaction rating for its performance, with an "excellent +76" net score, according to the recent December 2022 Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey.

This raised the net satisfaction of the AFP by nine (9) points from the net of +67 in December 2021.

The recent survey had 1,200 adult respondents who showed their awareness of the AFP, 80% of whom expressed their satisfaction with the AFP’s performance.

The AFP also maintained an excellent net confidence score of +79 in defeating the communist terrorist group and +76 against local terrorist groups. It also received a net +62 in its capability to defend the West Philippine Sea and fight foreign threats.

With the overall high level of confidence that the public shows, the AFP assures that it will remain steadfast in its commitment to protecting the country and the Filipinos. The increase in rating is a manifestation of popular support as well as a motivation for AFP personnel to continue striving for greater heights. It will further strengthen its force, and sustain its modernization efforts to achieve its vision of being a world-class armed forces and a source of national pride.
