Senior AFP officers take new posts

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—Senior military officers assumed their new posts on Monday, January 23, in a joint Change of Chief of Office Ceremony presided by The Deputy Chief of Staff AFP VAdm Rommel Anthony SD Reyes at the Tejeros Hall here.

MGen Alex S Rillera PA relinquished his post as the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) for Operations, J3, to his assistant, BGen Glenn Jun C Calambuhay PA, who will perform the role in an acting capacity. MGen Rillera will later assume as the new commander of the 6th Infantry Division.


Meanwhile, BGen Noel D Beleran PN(M) has taken over as the DCS for Education, Training, and Doctrine, J8 from BGen Fernando M Reyeg PA who was the acting J8 since January 12.

BGen Proceso S Rebancos PA also assumed as the new The Chief Engineer, AFP, replacing Col Celso G Ressureccion JR PAF who will continue to serve as his deputy.

On the other hand, Col Erwin Victoriano A Machica II JAGS took the helm of the Office of The Judge Advocate General, AFP from Col Julius P Agdeppa who has been serving as its acting chief.

Further, Col Ma Dolores M Lim NC assumed as The Chief Nurse, AFP and replaced Col Marilyn O Tolentino NC who was appointed in an acting capacity as its deputy chief.

Lastly, Col Geoffrey M Carandang PA was designated as the new Secretary of the Joint Staff AFP in place of Col Wilfredo B Manalang III.

These changes are part of the AFP's commitment to advance professionalism and meritocracy in the military organization.
