AFP, Royal Australian Navy Strengthen Ties for Maritime Security and Regional Stability

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) welcomed Vice Admiral David Hammond, Chief of Navy (CN) of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN), during a courtesy call on AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. on January 26, here.

During the meeting, both leaders discussed ongoing and future areas of collaboration between the AFP and the RAN, including joint exercises, capability development, and professional military exchanges. The engagement underscored the importance of sustained cooperation in promoting peace, stability, and security in the region.

The meeting reaffirmed the strong and enduring defense partnership between the Philippines and Australia, highlighting shared commitments to regional security, maritime cooperation, and the rules-based international order in Indo-Pacific region.
