CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) formally recognized several key offices for sustaining governance excellence during the AFP Transformation Roadmap Institutionalization Pathway (AFPTRIP) Awarding Ceremony held at the General Headquarters Canopy on 02 March 2026, in conjunction with the regular Monday flag-raising ceremony.
Presided over by Lieutenant General Rommel P Roldan PAF, The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP, who represented AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr., the ceremony underscored the AFP’s continuing commitment to performance excellence, accountability, and institutional reform under the AFPTRIP framework—its strategic governance mechanism designed to embed a culture of integrity, professionalism, and results-driven leadership across the Armed Forces.
Conferred with First Recertified Status were the Office of The Inspector General (OTIG), AFP; Office of The Quartermaster General (OTQMG), AFP; Public Affairs Office (PAOAFP); Office of Ethical Standards and Public Accountability (OESPA); and Office of the AFP Sergeant Major (OAFPSM). Meanwhile, the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reserve Force Development, OJ9; the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Plans, OJ5; and the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, OJ1 were granted Second Recertified Status, signifying a higher level of institutional maturity and sustained advancement in transformation initiatives.
In addition, the Seal of Excellence, awarded to units and offices that garnered an average audit rating of 95%, was conferred upon OJ9, OJ5, OJ1, OTIG, PAOAFP, OESPA, and OAFPSM. The distinction highlights their outstanding compliance with governance standards and exemplary performance in institutional audits.
These recognitions affirm the AFP’s collective effort to strengthen systems, enhance public trust, and ensure that reforms translate into meaningful outcomes for the organization and the nation.///
