AFP strengths commitment to combatting illegal electoral practices, joins the Kontra Bigay Committee

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring clean and credible elections by joining the launch of the Kontra Bigay Committee, an initiative led by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) on February 7, 2025, in Intramuros, Manila.
AFP Vice Chief Staff LtGen Jimmy D Larida together with key government officials signed the Memorandum of Agreement aimed at strengthening the enforcement of laws against vote-buying and vote-selling, ensuring that electoral processes remain free from illegal practices.

This initiative underscores the AFP’s commitment to a whole-of-nation approach in safeguarding democracy and ensuring a secure, fair, and transparent electoral process.
