CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Armed Forces of the Philippines with The Manila Times honored the dedication and sacrifices of Filipino soldiers with an awarding ceremony themed “Tribute to Soldiers” on August 26, 2024, at The Manila Hotel. The event was held in line with the commemoration of National Heroes Day, graced by AFP Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr. as Guest of Honor and Speaker.
In his address, General Brawner expressed gratitude to the valiant men and women of the AFP emphasizing their courage, and commitment in pursuit of national peace and development, “These silent warriors are the backbone of our military. They are the foundation upon which our nation stands strong.”
The “Tribute to Soldiers” event reflects the AFP’s ongoing commitment to recognizing the sacrifices made by its personnel and reinforcing the spirit of perseverance and excellence within the ranks.
