CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr., along with Secretary of National Defense Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr. and United States Ambassador MaryKay Carlson, witnessed a joint simulation exercise on August 2 at Clark Air Base, showcasing the airlift of family food packs (FFPs) for flood-affected communities.
The activity demonstrated the loading and transport of DSWD relief goods using a US MV-22 Osprey aircraft, showcasing the vital role of interoperability and swift response in humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) operations.
The event underscored the deepening PH-U.S. defense cooperation in humanitarian missions, and highlighted the shared values behind the bilateral partnership, particularly the commitment to protecting human life. The exercise also featured a guided tour of the Osprey, reinforcing its value in reaching communities in need with speed and precision.
