CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City—The Command and General Staff Course (CGSC) Class 74 of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) graduated in a ceremony held on August 30, 2024, at Camp Aguinaldo. Chief of Staff AFP General Romeo Brawner Jr. served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker.
The course is designed to develop strategic thinking, leadership, and operational planning skills for officers who are expected to assume command and staff positions within the AFP.
In his speech, General Brawner highlighted the significance of the CGSC in preparing the next generation of AFP leaders. “The knowledge and skills you have gained from this course will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our Armed Forces. Your commitment to continuous learning and professional development is vital as we face the evolving challenges in national defense and security,” he said.
General Brawner also commended the graduates for their dedication and perseverance. “You have proven your mettle by completing this rigorous program. I challenge you to apply what you have learned in your respective assignments and continue to uphold the highest standards of excellence and integrity in your service,” he added.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of awards to top-performing graduates who excelled in various aspects of the course.
