CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Chief of Staff General Romeo S Brawner Jr PA, visited the Western Mindanao Command (WESMINCOM) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker during the command’s 18th founding anniversary celebration today, August 31.
General Brawner was welcomed by Lieutenant General William Gonzales PA, Commander, WESMINCOM at Camp Don Basilio Navarro in Calarian, Zamboanga City.
The visit underscored the critical role of WESMINCOM in advancing the AFP's mission and mandate in the region. General Brawner also awarded outstanding WESMINCOM personnel for their exceptional service and dedication.
In his message to the troops, General Brawner emphasized the significance of WESMINCOM’s contributions to national development and stability.
“Your duty extends beyond the battlefield, you are also champions of peace, embodying the AFP’s steadfast commitment to supporting the national government’s broader agenda for stability and development,” the AFP Chief said.
He further urged the soldiers to begin preparations for the upcoming 2025 midterm elections to ensure an orderly electoral process, as they continue to uphold their oath to the Constitution and their commitment to serving the Filipino people with honor and integrity.///
