AFP Welcomes New Leaders in Key Offices

AFP Welcomes New Leaders in Key Offices

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) held a Change of Command Ceremony for the AFP Finance Center (AFPFC) and Joint Change of Chiefs of Office Ceremony for the Office of the Strategic Studies and Strategy Management (OSSSM), and the Office of the Adjutant General (OTAG) today, August 28, 2025 at Tejeros Hall, AFP Commissioned Officers' Country, here.

The event was presided over by Lieutenant General Rommel P Roldan PAF, The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP, who underscored the importance of dynamic leadership in achieving the AFP's mission.

Captain Ryan L Bakabak PN (GSC) relinquished his duties as Acting Chief, AFPFC, turning over the helm to Brigadier General Manolito F Montiel PA. Prior to his appointment, BGen Montiel held the position of Deputy Brigade Commander of the 301st Infantry Brigade of the Philippine Army.

Acting Chief, OSSSM Colonel Mayroade R De Leon PAF (GSC) likewise handed over leadership to Brigadier General Jessie A Banastao PAF. BGen Banastao has held key leadership positions, including serving as Acting Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations, J3, AFP.

Meanwhile, Acting The Adjutant General AFP, Captain Ramilo B Trinidad PN (GSC) passed the helm to Brigadier General Danilo E Estrañero PA. Before his designation, BGen Estrañero led the Office of the Army Adjutant.

In his message, LtGen Roldan commended the outgoing chiefs for their leadership and dedicated service, emphasizing their contributions to the efficient management of the AFP’s finance, strategic studies, and administrative functions. He also expressed confidence that the incoming chiefs will continue to steer their respective offices toward excellence, ensuring that the AFP remains adaptive and responsive to the demands of national defense and security.///
