CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City - Philippine Army Reservists and ROTC cadets from the 14th Regional Community Defense Group, assist the DSWD in hauling relief items for victims of the 7.3-magnitude earthquake that hit Northern Luzon on July 27, 2022.
The services of AFP reservists and ROTC cadets significantly augment regular forces' efforts in protecting the people's interest and well-being through nation-building, humanitarian assistance, and disaster response.
Colonel Medel Aguilar, Acting AFP Spokesperson, reiterated the pronouncement of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr regarding the importance of ROTC in times of crisis.
"As the President has stated, ROTC will not just prepare the youth for the defense of the country. They will also form part of the readily deployable force for the conduct of disaster response operations," he said.///(Photos from Reserve Command, Philippine Army)
