MANILA, Philippines. MGen Jeffrey Hechanova PAF, J5, AFP and BGen Jennifer M Short, Deputy Director Strategic Planning and Policy, J5 USINDOPACOM led the Philippine and US delegation, respectively during the Philippines-United States Mutual-Defense Board – Security Engagement Board (MDB-SEB) Executive Committee (EXECOM) Meeting held on 12-13 July 2022 in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
The two-day EXECOM Meeting was the second stage of the MDB-SEB planning cycle that aims to synergize PH-US efforts, converge ideas and discuss issues on how the two institutions will respond to the ever-evolving challenges to their nations’ defense and security. The MDB-SEB as a mechanism has not only served as a venue to discuss relevant issues in promoting and upholding security in the Asia-Pacific region, but also an opportunity to celebrate friendship, maintain and strengthen cooperation.
The recommendations of the EXECOM will be deliberated by the MDB-SEB during its meeting which will be held in in Hawaii in September this year.
