Balikatan CJLOTS field activities highlight bilateral interoperability, logistical readiness

Combined Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (CJLOTS) operations reached a critical phase on 09 April 2025, with the arrival of Major General Franciso Lorenzo Jr PA, Commander of Armed Forces of the Philippines Education, Training, and Doctrine Command (AFPETDC), and Brigadier General Michael Logico PA, Deputy Commander of Philippine Army’s Training Command, in Dingalan, Aurora to monitor exercise progress and evaluate logistics coordination.
Upon arrival, they were provided firsthand insight into naval logistics integration and operational readiness as they visited the Philippine Navy vessel BRP Waray (LS288) at Dingalan Port.

The observation team proceeded to the designated beach landing site where they met with U.S. forces, further solidifying the strong bilateral cooperation and mutual understanding that underpin the joint exercise.

The combined group then embarked on a U.S. Navy Landing Craft, undertaking a tour of the United States Army Vessel (USAV) SSGT Robert T Kuroda (LSV-7). This shipboard visit offered crucial insights into the vessel's logistical capabilities, its operational functionalities, and the practical application of interoperability practices in a maritime environment.

The afternoon culminated in the successful offloading of vital equipment onto the beachhead. This tangible demonstration highlighted the core objectives of CJLOTS – to enhance the joint capabilities in logistics and interoperability.

This activity reinforced the long-term goal of building a responsive, resilient, and unified regional defense posture through Exercise Balikatan.///
