CA Confirms Senior AFP Officers, Affirming Confidence in Military Leadership

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) further reinforced leadership stability and joint force readiness following the confirmation of the ad interim appointments of 35 senior officers by the Commission on Appointments on February 4 in Pasay City.
The confirmed officers represent key leadership ranks across the major services. The Philippine Navy confirmed thirteen (13) Captains, while nine (9) Colonels from the Philippine Air Force. Five (5) Colonels from the Philippine Marine Corps, and Philippine Army with four (4) Colonels. Completing the roster were four (4) senior officers from the AFP’s technical and support services, including the Nurse Corps and the Judge Advocate General’s Service.

The confirmation underscores sustained confidence in the AFP’s senior leadership and supports the continuity of command essential to operational effectiveness. These officers are expected to play a critical role in advancing joint operations, professional military development, and the AFP’s mandate to safeguard national security.
