CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – General Romeo S Brawner Jr., Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), received Lieutenant Colonel Kim Jaisuk and Lieutenant Colonel Cho Hyunhul, the outgoing and incoming Defense Attachés (DA) of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to the Philippines, during a courtesy visit held today here.
The meeting highlighted the enduring defense ties and mutual commitment to regional peace and security between the Philippines and South Korea. General Brawner expressed his gratitude to Lt.Col. Kim Jaisuk for her valuable contributions in strengthening military cooperation throughout her tour of duty. He also extended a warm welcome to Lt.Col. Cho Hyunhul, affirming the AFP’s full support and commitment to deepening defense collaboration with the ROK.
The AFP and ROK Armed Forces have long enjoyed strong military ties, including defense dialogues, joint training, capability development, and humanitarian assistance initiatives. This courtesy call reinforces the enduring partnership and shared values between the two nations’ armed forces.
