CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – The Chief of Staff, Armed Forces of the Philippines (CSAFP), General Andres C Centino PA, administered the donning of ranks ceremony to nine (9) AFP Generals and Senior Officers on April 12, 2023, at the General Headquarters.
Promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General are MGen Charlton Sean M Gaerlan PN(M), the incumbent The Deputy Chief of Staff, AFP (TDCSAFP), and MGen Fernyl G Buca PAF, Commander of the Northern Luzon Command.
Moreover, promoted to the rank of Major General are BGen Noel D Beleran PN(M), the Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) for Education, Training and Doctrine, J8; BGen Joel Alejandro S Nacnac PA, The Internal Auditor, AFP; BGen Fernando M Reyeg PA, DCS for Operations, J3; and BGen Proceso S Rebancos PA, The Chief Engineer, AFP.
Meanwhile, promoted to the rank of Brigadier General are Col Amado V Dela Paz PAF, Deputy Commander, Western Command; Col Patriarch Robinson P Pel PA, Assistant DCS for C4ISTAR Systems, AJ6; and Col Leo Edward Y Caranto PA, Assistant DCS for Logistics, AJ4.
"With these new ranks adorning our shoulders today, I am sure that I share the same commitment with my co-promotees to work harder and wiser in contributing to the attainment of our mandate to transform the Armed Forces of the Philippines into a modern, world-class, and multi-capable force," expressed the TDCSAFP as he reminded his co-promotees of higher responsibility that goes with their new ranks.
The CSAFP congratulated the newly-promoted AFP generals and senior officers. "You have earned it, and you are ready for the bigger challenges of leadership that are part of this promotion.
